THE TRIP TO BUENOS AIRES OF THE MASTER SILVIO BENEDETTO The painter, sculptor and theater director returns after 50 years of absence, as a “cultural ambassador of the Cinque Terre”.

Subject: Italian Cultural Institute press conference in Buenos Aires about "The Cinque Terre and Buenos Aires"
in order to arrange a meeting ( "Meeting with ..."), in May 2010, at the Castle of Riomaggiore, within the “Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre”, Italy. Project that means raising awareness among the population of Liguria (by historical tradition, place of departure and arrival of Argentine) and the population of Argentina. With the participation of artists, filmmakers, writers and journalists from this country, leading their testimony of 'Argentina today”, for their future projects and, in some cases, remember and reinforce the historic ties that have linked these two countries. The event is being organized by Silvio Benedetto, and consist of 3 days of meetings and conversations, not excluding moments of entertainment and music.
Silvio Benedetto is the artistic director and the creator (along with the President of the Park Franco Bonanini) of the event "Meeting with ..." dedicated to Argentina. With the valuable support of, Luca Natale, Silvia Lotti and Olga Macaluso.

SCHEDULE

On 18 November at 12.00, under the auspices of the Italian Embassy Cultural Office in Buenos Aires, at the Italian Institute of Culture, site in Avda Marcelo T. de Alvear 1119 Buenos Aires, will be offered the press conference, "Meeting with ..." about "Buenos Aires and Le Cinque Terre". The main topics are: "The model of the Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre", "Benedetto and the Routes of Art", "Cultural and social reality of Buenos Aires and other provinces”.
Introduce with a short greeting Silvia Lotti, reading a message of the President of the “Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre”. Brief speech of Silvio Benedetto referring to the “Parco Nazionale” program called "Arte e Territorio", then for the journalists specialized in "cultural tourism", will screen the video edited by “Parco Nazionale”. On the same theme, will be presented with images of Dario Rigoni’s publication, entitled "Sequence of the memory" (polimateriche murals created by Silvio Benedetto). Will also be exposed several books, posters and photographs (“Edizioni del Parco”). Relating to the Silvio Benedetto’s artistic work, will be distributed in a DVD of a workshop edited by Mascha Bom at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. Also will be made available to the public, material on the “Cinque Terre”. Finally, as an affectionate greeting and homage to the “Cinque Terre”, will be read a poem of Eugenio Montale, Nobel Prize of Literature, recited by a well known Argentine actor, Walter Santa Ana, Moliere Prize of the European theater and the Festival International Award Dionysus in Cinque Terre. Concluding with a "vino de honor."
